Calculate the award
Enter the last monthly wage, the length of service, and how the contract ended. The result follows the statutory formula used across the private sector in Saudi Arabia.
Estimated end-of-service award
25,000 SAR
Full entitlement 25,000 SAR, applied at 100% for this scenario.
This estimate follows Articles 84–85 of the Saudi Labor Law and is not legal advice.
The rule in plain language
Article 84 sets the base award: half a month's wage per year for the first five years and a full month's wage for every year after that, calculated on the last wage and including fractions of a year.
Article 85 reduces the award when the employee resigns, and the reduction depends on how long they stayed.
| Years of service | Ended by employer | Resignation |
|---|---|---|
| Less than 2 | Full award | No award |
| 2 to 5 | Full award | One third |
| 5 to 10 | Full award | Two thirds |
| 10 or more | Full award | Full award |
From one employee to the whole workforce
A single calculation is easy. Provisioning the liability across hundreds of employees, tracking it as salaries change, and reporting it to finance is where spreadsheets break down.
Total Reward keeps salaries, allowances, and grade structures in one workspace, so end-of-service exposure moves with every approved pay decision.
